Float Trips

At Paradise Valley Angler, we consider our "home waters" to be the Yellowstone River. As conditions and current fishing allow, we spend our days floating the beautifully scenic "valley stretch" targeting cutthroat, rainbow, and brown trout. Later in the summer, we find ourselves fishing the "lower river" when the grasshoppers abound and targeting fish on high floating foam dry flies.

Being a freestone river, the Yellowstone does fall victim to a lengthy spring runoff season and we can experience "mud plugs" from rain. Thankfully, we have no shortage of other float options nearby. Those include the Lower and Upper Madison, along with the Boulder river.
